Research interests: physical anthropology, bioarchaeology, bronze age, health & social status, paleoepidemiology, public archaeology, promotion of cultural heritage
My research interests are bioarchaeology, physical anthropology, and the Carpathian Bronze Age. I’m mostly focused on the health status in prehistory and its interaction with the social status, environment, and lifeways of past peoples. Health and disease both shaped and were shaped by human communities, and many of the lessons we can learn from past societies can be used today. Additionally, I was part of the excavation campaign (2020-2024) at the Maros site Mokrin (2100-1800 BC) and absolute dating campaigns of Mokrin (2020-2023) and Ostojićevo (2024). Finally, through the Neozoik Foundation, I promote and popularise archaeology and cultural heritage among young people in Serbia and the region.
