Research interest: physical anthropology; reconstruction of the diets of past populations; microwear analysis; Mesolithic; Neolithic

My research is focused on physical anthropology, with an emphasis on analyzing the diets of past populations. As part of my doctoral dissertation, I am investigating the diets of Mesolithic-Neolithic communities from the territory of the Danube Gorges and early Neolithic individuals buried outside this area, using buccal microwear analysis. Through this analysis, I reconstruct the dietary habits of people in the past, as well as their food preparation techniques. A significant part of the research is aimed at understanding the impact of the environment on newly arrived populations, as well as their influence on local communities in the mentioned territory.
